The Mexico SAE for Short-term Visits is an electronic travel authorisation for eligible nationals travelling to Mexico by air for permitted short-term purposes, including tourism and business. Mexico’s immigration authority states that the SAE is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and permits a single trip. Travellers must present the authorisation together with their passport when checking in and upon arrival in Mexico.
The SAE does not automatically guarantee admission. On arrival, Mexican immigration officials determine whether the traveller meets the entry conditions and the permitted length of stay. Travellers should therefore carry their passport, SAE approval, and relevant travel documents.
