As the Director of PMO overseeing the implementation of MaxVal SW products for clients, your responsibilities would encompass various aspects of project management.
Here’s an outline of your roles and responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Governance: Develop and implement project management standards, methodologies, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across software implementation projects. Establish governance frameworks and performance metrics to measure project success and drive continuous improvement.
Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the team of project managers responsible for software implementation projects. This includes setting clear expectations, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Project Portfolio Oversight: Provide oversight and strategic direction for the entire portfolio of software implementation projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs. This may involve
prioritizing projects, balancing resource allocations, and managing project dependencies.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between project managers and senior leadership, clients,
and other key stakeholders. Communicate project status, escalate issues, and ensure alignment between
project goals and organizational objectives.
Project Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the implementation process, managing client expectations, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive client experience.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with software implementation projects, such as technical challenges, scope changes, or client dependencies, to minimize project disruptions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that the software implementation meets quality standards and client requirements through thorough testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of the new software by clients, including training, communication plans, and user support services.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, or consultants involved in software implementation projects, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and compliance monitoring.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on the performance of software implementation projects, including progress against milestones, budget utilization, and client satisfaction, to company leadership and stakeholders.
Documentation: Oversee the documentation of software implementation project activities, including requirements, design decisions, test results, and user manuals, to ensure transparency and facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.
Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation across multiple implementation projects, ensuring that project managers have the necessary resources, including personnel, budget, and technology infrastructure, to deliver projects successfully.
Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities to project managers within the team. Help them develop their project management skills, grow their careers, and achieve their professional goals.
Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team, encouraging innovation, sharing of best practices, and learning from project experiences to enhance project delivery capabilities.
Resource Development: Identify opportunities for training and development within the project management team. Provide resources, tools, and training programs to help project managers enhance their skills and knowledge in software implementation and project management.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience in Project Management using both Waterfall and Agile methodology (15+
years). - Good understanding of cloud-based SW implementation
- Experience in handling fixed-price projects and managing scope creep and resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication are a must for this role.
- PMP Certification Mandatory.
Must-Have Qualification Education/Qualification:
- Must be from a Technical background BE/BTech/BCA/ME/MTECH/MCA
- Hands-on experience in Project Management using both Waterfall and Agile methodology (15+
years). - Good understanding of cloud-based SW implementation
- Experience in handling fixed-price projects and managing scope creep and resources.
- Excellent verbal and written communication are a must for this role.
- PMP Certification Mandatory
- MUST have worked on external client projects. Must have handled US/UK clients (should
have played a client-facing role).
Joining time / Notice Period:
- Immediate to 30 days
- 5 days of work from the office is a MUST.
